THINKTANKER

Every think tank.
One platform.

Thinktanker curates top research and commentary from America’s leading think tanks — giving professionals and readers instant access to insights that shape global policy.

What We Do

Curating the world of policy ideas.

Thinktanker (thinktanks.org) is America’s first editorial brand and AI-native platform for and onAmerica’s think tanks — curating, simplifying, and connecting the expert research and insightsthey publish that influence U.S. policy and global decision-making.

Think tanks shape policy and industry agendas at the highest levels. Their reports, tweets, andtestimonies inform congressional hearings in Washington, guide federal agencies, influencePresidents, and shape how CEOs understand world events. Yet think tank expertise is oftenburied in dense reports and clouded by public distrust. Thinktanker delivers that informationaladvantage to the public and policymakers, fast and clear, built for the way people actuallyconsume information today.

By centralizing and simplifying the work of America’s think tanks in one platform and brand,Thinktanker redefines elite policy analysis into public intelligence. We’re here to help the publicand policymakers navigate competing ideas, understand institutional biases, and stay informedon the research and experts shaping U.S. policy — from Washington, DC to the broadernational and global stage.

Thinktanker is an independent, one-person editorial studio researched, managed, and published by Greg Song.

I’m a former Development Manager for the Foreign Policy program at the Brookings Institution inWashington, DC. Now based back home in Los Angeles, CA (Go Dodgers), I cover the thinktank industry, tracking new reports from major institutions across the country, identifyingemerging policy trends, and curating the arguments shaping national and global affairs.

I keep a simple approach:
  • Read the research and insights from America’s top think tanks
  • Translate it into modern, concise editorial coverage.
  • Provide context, clarity, and transparency for the public.
  • Make expert insights accessible to all, not just insiders in DC.

Editorial Standards & Ethics

Thinktanker is fully independent.

There’s no political agenda, no institutional affiliation, and no partisan funding behind theproject. Just clear reporting and modern curation built for a new generation of readers who wantto understand how power, policy, and ideas move through Washington and the world.

Think tanks shape U.S. policy.

Thinktanker exists to help you follow it — clearly, independently, and in real time.

Bias & Transparency

Think tanks are not neutral.

They are shaped by funding, political history, institutional culture, and strategic relationships.

Thinktanker tracks these patterns - drawing from insider knowledge, public records, and long-term observation - to help readers understand where research is coming from and why it matters.

This work is always evolving. Thinktanker is continuously improving how we tag ideology, classify institutions, and describe their positions. We welcome challenges, corrections, and pushback from readers and experts.
If you disagree with something we’ve written, or think I missed the mark — send me a message. That’s part of the project.

Our Mission

Curating the world of policy ideas.

Thinktanker’s mission is to open up access to America’s think tanks -  transforming complex, insider policy analysis into clear, public-facing intelligence for anyone who wants to understandhow ideas influence American politics.

We believe the work of think tanks shouldn’t live only inside Washington, corporate boardrooms,
or academic circles. It should be readable, trackable, and accessible to the public.

Our mission to:

Make expert research understandable without diluting its substance.

Give readers an informational advantage in an age of noise, disinformation, andfragmented media.

Connect institutions, ideas, and experts  across a polarized landscape.

Bring transparency to think tank influence, funding, and ideological tendencies.

Elevate credible policy analysis  while making room for kepticism, scrutiny, anddebate.

Thinktanker exists to give people - citizens, students, policymakers, journalists, analysts - a clearer view of the research shaping U.S. policy and the institutions driving it.
